Wade Orthodontics to close for routine appointments until Monday, April 6 as requested by Ohio State Dental Board Advisory

A MESSAGE FROM DR. ANDREW WADE AND THE WADE ORTHODONTICS TEAM:

We at Wade Orthodontics wish all of our patient families, friends and partner dentists continued health as we work through the COVID-19 pandemic.  The health and safety of our patients remains our greatest priority.  

Over the last 24 hours Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio State Dental Board have issued Ohio State Dental Board Advisory 2020-01 requesting Ohio dentists reschedule all elective non-emergency dental treatment to ensure we minimize the spread of the virus and conserve infection control supplies that may be needed by our local hospitals.  All routine orthodontic appointments fall under the category of elective treatment, except in those cases where patients are experiencing pain due to damaged orthodontic appliances.

We have thus made the difficult decision to close our office for routine non-urgent orthodontic appointments through Sunday, April 5, 2020.  We will continue to answer telephones during regular business hours and provide emergency orthodontic procedures by appointment only.  Emergency care will be provided using all recommended protocols issued by the CDC. 

Our office will be calling patients with appointments scheduled from March 23-April 5 to reschedule.   If you have an orthodontic emergency please call our main office number (614-878-7887) for instructions.  

The COVID-19 pandemic is a rapidly evolving situation which we will be monitoring closely and re-evaluating on a weekly basis.  We are hoping to be able to resume regular appointments again starting Monday, April 6.
